I LOVE CAPTURING MOMENTS FOR RUNNERS
I have loved photography from the first moment my mom let me use her Canon AE-1 when I was about 6. And even with my "day job" in marketing, my passion for photography has been infused into every element of my career, even to getting my commercial pilots license for drone photography and videography.
BUT WHERE DID RACE PHOTOGRAPHY COME IN?
I arrived at race photography in the way that many come to actually running races, their partner loves it and they want to be with them.
When mine quickly surpassed my mileage capabilities I decided, well if I can't keep up running, I can definitely keep up in a car - place to place. So I dug out my Nikon and joined him on the trail. And, bonus, there were other runners to shoot - LOTS OF EM! Now I was onto something. If I'm going to be out for hours or days on a trail, let's get EVERYONE! That's what I do, as best I can.
So this is my fun. I do it for me. I do it for free. I do it for all of you -- the speed racers, the bombers, the turtles, the trippers, the bleeders, and the "I will never run again - until the next time." I don't care if you're first, DFL or DNF. I will try to get you at least once.
Enjoy the images. Download them on Facebook, and if you need full-size versions, let me know.
